This mirror glass is heated and incorporates a heating element attached to the back of the glass. Usually 2 electrical pins are visible on the backing plate and 2 wires from the mirror body are connected to these. This heated mirror glass can also be used with non-heated mirrors.

When referring to left or right, it's a global industry standard that left and right is referred to from the point of view of sitting in the car looking forward. This fits on the left side of the vehicle.
