This mirror is heated and incorporates a heating element attached to the back of the glass. Most cars now come with electrically heated mirrors to help with de-frosting and to keep them clear in wet conditions. Cars with heated wing mirrors will usually have an internal control switch or the mirror glass itself may have a small symbol indicating a heating function. This mirror can also be used on vehicles with non-heated mirrors but the heating function will not be available.

When referring to left or right, it's a global industry standard that left and right is referred to from the point of view of sitting in the car looking forward. This fits on the right side of the vehicle.
